Friday 12 December 2025 Y7 Boys Camden Basketball Champions and Sports Reward trip The Y7 boys defeated Hampstead School in Wednesday's Camden Basketball final to secure their first trophy of the season and maintain their unbeaten record. They led the game from start to finish, showing excellent rebounding skills and remarkable teamwork to hold the advantage till the final whistle. Finals Player of the Match was awarded to Nile T, who controlled the game at point guard, working tirelessly on defence, guarding effectively and securing key rebounds.

Friday 28 November 2025 Bookbuzz at our school I am delighted to share that our Y7 and Y8 students have taken part in Bookbuzz 2025, a brilliant reading programme from BookTrust, the UK's largest children's reading charity. Bookbuzz is designed to help children discover the joy of reading and to build positive reading habits.

Friday 21 November 2025 Y9 fundraising for a local homeless charity Following on from the last year's successful charitable endeavours, from our shoe box collections to raising funds for a local homeless charity. It was great to witness the year group come together for a good cause and to keep this going for this year we are pleased to share that our Y9 cohort will be taking part in a community project this term in collecting donations for the Refugee Community Kitchen, a charity that provides nutritious meals and essential support to displaced individuals and families.

Friday 14 November 2025 KS3 Cross Country As part of the KS3 Physical Education Curriculum, students will be completing a scheme of learning in Health-Related Fitness. This scheme will introduce all students to different ways of exercising, outside of competitive team sports. Students have been learning that to be healthy, they need to consider all aspects including physical, social and mental health.

Friday 3 October 2025 Y7 Parent SEND Information Morning If you are the parent of a student in Y7 with an EHCP, ENG or is on the Additional Needs Register, you are invited to our Parent SEND Information Morning. In this session, you will have the chance to meet the school SENDCo and other members of staff within the Additional Educational Needs Team, liaise with other parents of students in Y7 and gain an understanding of how SEND works at Acland Burghley.
