  • Friday 21 March 2025 Y11 Drama GCSE exam showcase performances Y11 drama students will be performing to families and friends on the above date. This performance will be a showcase of work from The Unreturning and People, Places and Things.
  • Friday 21 March 2025 Afternoon tea at a Hall for All Building on relationships forged over the last 18 months with Wellesely Road Care Home, Maitland Park Care Home, St Mary Brookfield Church and Highgate Newtown Community Partners, students from Acland Burghley School planned and presented an afternoon tea and Winter Wellbeing event for elderly people living locally.
  • Friday 14 March 2025 New Parent Governor I would like to forward my application for the role of Parent Governor. I am a Camden resident and a parent of a young person with Autism who attends Acland Burghley. I have worked in education for many years in Administration, Operations, and Human Resources. I have good working knowledge of the role of schools in mainstream education and pupil referral units that support our child's educational development at different stages in their lives. Also working knowledge of the joint services that support our children and families when they are in need, also the role that schools can play in this support mechanism.

  • Friday 28 February 2025 DofE Practice Expeditions 2025 marks our largest ever Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award co-hort. With more than 80 students taking part across two groups. The students will begin with an introduction to orienteering walk on Hampstead Heath before a full day in Epping Forest to prepare them for their full assessed trip in Robertsbridge and Hastings, full dates are below.

  • Tuesday 11 February 2025 STEAM Day This week STEAM Day took place on Thursday 6 February. It was a brilliant day packed full of exciting and interesting sessions led by professionals from the science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths industries. We had over 40 different organisations come and run sessions with our students. Here are just a few: Lego Robotics, Beat goes on drumming, technology in the Metropolitan Police, Barras Construction, Wayve Self Drive Cars, VPRR Architects, The Roundhouse, Marlborough Highways, the Camden Apprenticeship Team, and many more.STEAM is a Camden wide initiative that aims for Camden to be a beacon of inclusive opportunity and innovation.   • Wednesday 18 December 2024 Little Shop of Horrors The BTEC production of Little Shop of Horrors delighted audiences in the first week of December. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Y13 students performed to the lower school and then later to families with both matinee and evening performances.
  • Monday 16 December 2024 Start of term arrangements As a school we are supporting the students to be self-regulating young people who can take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour. We are developing students to be mature in their attitude and thinking, who are proud to be members of our community, and can take guidance both from school and at home.

  • Friday 13 December 2024 LaSWAP application process reminder We want our Y11s to take the time to research their courses carefully before they make key decisions. Applications for LaSWAP for students currently attending LaSWAP schools will not open until next term. Students will receive support from their tutor about their options in PSHE, and every student will have a Pathways Guidance Interview. LaSWAP applications will open after these interviews.

  • Friday 29 November 2024 Y9 History Anti-Apartheid exhibition Our Y9 history students recently visited a powerful Anti-Apartheid exhibition that showcased the impactful work of South African artist and activist Norman Kaplan. The highlight was Kaplan’s iconic piece, All Shall Be Afforded Dignity, currently displayed in the South African National Gallery. Inspired by his intricate lino prints, students had the opportunity to create their own works, drawing connections between art and the struggle for social justice. The creative process was as rewarding as the exhibition itself, with students deeply moved by Kaplan's message of equality and resilience.
