• Wednesday 18 December 2024 Little Shop of Horrors The BTEC production of Little Shop of Horrors delighted audiences in the first week of December. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Y13 students performed to the lower school and then later to families with both matinee and evening performances.
• Monday 16 December 2024 Start of term arrangements As a school we are supporting the students to be self-regulating young people who can take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour. We are developing students to be mature in their attitude and thinking, who are proud to be members of our community, and can take guidance both from school and at home.
• Monday 16 December 2024 End of term arrangements I would like to remind you that school finishes for Y12 and Y13 on Thursday 19 December. Y7 to Y11 finish on Friday 20 December at 12.15pm.
• Friday 13 December 2024 LaSWAP application process reminder We want our Y11s to take the time to research their courses carefully before they make key decisions. Applications for LaSWAP for students currently attending LaSWAP schools will not open until next term. Students will receive support from their tutor about their options in PSHE, and every student will have a Pathways Guidance Interview. LaSWAP applications will open after these interviews.

• Friday 6 December 2024 LaSWAP Application Information and Open Evening thank you Thank you to all the families who attended our Open Evening on Thursday 28 November. We welcomed approximately 3000 through our doors; our biggest event ever! We hope you had all of your questions answered and students left feeling excited about their future.
• Friday 29 November 2024 Y9 History Anti-Apartheid exhibition Our Y9 history students recently visited a powerful Anti-Apartheid exhibition that showcased the impactful work of South African artist and activist Norman Kaplan. The highlight was Kaplan’s iconic piece, All Shall Be Afforded Dignity, currently displayed in the South African National Gallery. Inspired by his intricate lino prints, students had the opportunity to create their own works, drawing connections between art and the struggle for social justice. The creative process was as rewarding as the exhibition itself, with students deeply moved by Kaplan's message of equality and resilience.
• Friday 29 November 2024 Big Give Students from Acland Burghley School are reaching out to their neighbours and the local community for support in their ambitious fundraising campaign to transform our iconic Assembly Hall into a vibrant community space. With a fundraising goal of £1,875,000, we're excited to announce that we have already secured approximately 80% of the campaign goal.

• Friday 11 October 2024 Y11 Drama: The Fear of 13 show and workshop Y11 drama pupils will be going to see Adrien Brody’s The Fear of 13 at the Donmar Warehouse. It deals with the issues surrounding incarceration. This is going to help them for their Live Theatre Evaluation which makes up part of the 40% written element in their final exam.

• Friday 13 September 2024 Y7 Introduction to the OAE On Wednesday 18 September, all Y7 students will be taking part in a one hour workshop introducing them to our wonderful residenarimington@aclandburghley.camden.sch.uk orchestra, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE). The X side of the year will do their workshop during period 3 and the Y side during period 4.
