Y11 Information Evening recap and key dates

It was good to see so many families on Thursday for our Information Evening. We discussed key dates for this year.

Monday 25 November-Friday 6 December: Autumn Mock Exams

Thursday 28 November: LaSWAP Open Evening

January 2025 Y11 Report 1 with reference grades

Thursday 23 January: Parents’ Evening

Week of 17 March: Core Mock Exams

Thursday 8 May-Thursday 19 June: GCSE Public Exams

Friday 4 July: LaSWAP Taster Day

Thursday 21 August: GCSE Results Day and LaSWAP Enrolment

And the revision opportunities which are available outside of lessons:

Students should now be preparing for their November mock exams; you will be sent their timetable at the start of next week. There is an accompanying summary which will also be emailed home and on the Y11 page of the school website which tells students what topics will be covered in each mock exam paper and how best to prepare for that subject’s exam.

Please spend some time with your child talking about their out of lesson revision schedule. They should always be completing the following home learning tasks for the core subjects:

English on Seneca – due Mondays

Sparx Science – due Tuesdays

Sparx Maths – due Wednesdays

Now is the time to build in additional study time into each day so that students are reviewing their learning over time and feel successful in their mock exams in 6 weeks time.
