LaSWAP Application Information and Open Evening thank you

Thank you to all the families who attended our Open Evening on Thursday 28 November. We welcomed approximately 3000 through our doors; our biggest event ever! We hope you had all of your questions answered and students left feeling excited about their future. 

If you were unable to join us, we will be hosting a virtual version of our Heads’ and Directors’ Talk on Wednesday 15 January via Zoom.  More details and a link will be sent out after the holidays, but please mark the date in your diaries.

LaSWAP application process

Reflecting on Open Evening, we want our Y11s to take the time to research their courses carefully before they make key decisions. Applications for LaSWAP for students currently attending LaSWAP schools will not open until next term. Students will receive support from their tutor about their options in PSHE, and every student will have a Pathways Guidance Interview. LaSWAP applications will open after these interviews.

This process ensures that students are completing their application after they have had mock exam feedback, ample chance to research and have received tailored advice. Tutors will give each Y11 student a unique username and password to enable them to complete their application.

Acland Burghley Y11 students should NOT use the application form link on the LaSWAP website.  This will be for external students ONLY. If internal students complete this form, they will need to complete the correct one next term.
