GCSE Results Success
Today we have been in school celebrating Y11 and their GCSE results. We know that the students, their families, and everyone who has supported them at Acland Burghley are incredibly proud of the hard work they put into their learning and the qualifications they have been awarded.
Of all the grades awarded this year 30% of them were grades 9-7.
We are delighted that our students are displaying this academic excellence. In particular these students have achieved exceptionally impressive results.

This year our students have produced the best ever results for a “strong pass” (grade 5) in English and Maths.
This is incredibly significant for our students as these subjects open the door for them in a number of future pathways and will equip them with the skills they need to be successful in their future endeavours. At Acland Burghley we have a strong sense of the importance of supporting all learners, whatever their starting points, to make progress and getting to this standard with the majority of our students is something we are proud of.
These students in particular made very impressive progress from their starting points and achieved far above their target grades:
Robin Rouault-Pierre
Cal Morton
Lily Halsall
Sarib Khan
Sacha Cross
Spencer Hornby
Tom Cohen
Abdulbaari El-Azizi Amazdouy
Annissa Debouza
Layla Erkan
Many of our students are enrolling at LaSWAP sixth form today, and others have exciting opportunities elsewhere. We wish them all the best for their future studies and are very excited to hear about what they achieve in their futures.
Once again, I am very pleased with the achievements of our students. Outcomes are consistent with our best previous years. We're especially pleased with our progress in maths and science.

I feel very proud of myself. All that revision really paid off. I'd like to study maths, chemistry and biology at LaSWAP.
