Celebrating LaSWAP Y13 Exam Results
We are thrilled to announce the fantastic results of our Year 13 LaSWAP students, marking a significant milestone in their journey towards university, careers, and overall well-being.
Over three quarters of our students have secured their first or second choice university offers at top institutions or industry-based courses, including apprenticeships.
Many students have not only met but exceeded their targets, showcasing inspiring individual success stories across the consortium. Higher Education progression rates are impressive, with students pursuing a diverse range of courses in sciences, humanities, medicine, business, maths, and creative industries. Notably, many students have secured places at prestigious Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge.
LaSWAP, London’s longest-standing consortium of school Sixth Forms, comprises La Sainte Union, William Ellis, Acland Burghley, and Parliament Hill. It offers a comprehensive range of post-16 study opportunities to local young people with diverse interests, academic starting points and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our A level performance is comparable to many more selective institutions, reflecting a strong work ethic and conscientious determination among our students. These results are a testament to the dedication of our experienced subject specialists, who have worked collaboratively and tirelessly to meet the challenges of these rigorous qualifications. With over 1000 A level and Vocational qualifications taken this summer, LaSWAP students have achieved fantastic results across a broad range of subjects. This success underscores our commitment to supporting students through exceptionally challenging personal circumstances over the past two years, providing them with essential pastoral and well-being support.
Students were excited to receive competitive offers from prestigious universities across the country, taking their next steps towards fulfilling their future ambitions. On Results Day, students gathered in anticipation at the joint LaSWAP building at Parliament Hill and William Ellis, celebrating their successes with teachers and parents.
This year saw improved results at all grades, including A*/A and A*/B compared to 2019, 2022 and 2023.
We are immensely proud of the progress our students have made and the focus and effort they have shown. Cllr Marcus Boyland met with LaSWAP students to celebrate their achievements and university destinations. LaSWAP offers a wide range of post-16 study opportunities to local young people with diverse interests. Many of our students, who might not have been admitted to advanced level courses elsewhere, have achieved excellent grades and secured progression into Higher Education.
Students from disadvantaged backgrounds have achieved extremely good results, including 3 A* grades in A Levels and Distinction* Distinction* in BTEC and Cambridge Technicals, progressing to competitive courses and universities.

Congratulations to all our students. They have achieved excellent results and have been a delight to teach. We wish them every success in the future. We extend our heartfelt thanks to parents for their unwavering support and to our staff for their tireless efforts in helping students achieve their best results.
These are the best results for LaSWAP since A Levels were reformed from 2015. We offer a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications, and we are especially pleased with the consistency of strong performance across subjects and partner schools.
Vocational subjects have performed particularly well. At Acland Burghley, for example, we have been very pleased with our L3 BTEC in Applied Science, where several students are going on to study radiography at university. Our CTEC Digital Media students also achieved very strongly. We are looking forward to the launch of our T Level on Media, Broadcast and Production from September.

The best thing about LaSWAP is the support and the length teachers want students to do their best through motivation.
