Acland Burghley’s sixth form students celebrated today their many amazing achievements. From places at Russell Group universities to high quality apprenticeships, students who spent much of Y12 and Y13 in lockdown and learning remotely have progressed to a range of prestigious destinations.

Headteacher Nicholas John commented:

“We are so very proud of what our students have achieved during this challenging period. Their results reflect their abilities and achievements every bit as much as in previous years.

“The LaSWAP consortium was ideally placed to support students through the Teacher Assessed Grades process. The longstanding collaborative partnership between the schools enabled us to run a robust process and maintain high standards for all.

“The students have performed outstandingly. Whether they are off to LSE to study Accounting and Finance, or Sheffield to study Medicine, or King’s to read Social Science, or a local employer to take up an apprenticeship, we are incredibly proud of their achievements.

“Many congratulations to all students, and the staff involved in assessing their work and awarding their grades.”
